It’s a long term as we head towards the end of another year and we have got lots planned.
We will be celebrating the official birthday of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with our very own ‘street’ party as we picnic outside as a whole school on June 10th. We will be creating Hall displays to mark the occasion as well as learning various songs, decorating the classrooms and the playground. A letter will be going home nearer the time to let you know of further celebrations.
The summer term is also Sports Day and as usual we have two dates in the diary just in case of inclement weather. The ‘official’ dates are 7/6/16 for Y1-Y6 and 8/6/16 for EYFS. The reserve dates are the following week: 14/6/16 for Y1-Y6 and 15/6/16. Letters regarding t-shirt colours will be sent home nearer the time.
Year 6 will be performing their end of year play and leaver’s assembly. Reception will be holding the New Parents meeting for our September starters. Moving Up Day will be in the final weeks once staffing has been finalised.
As you can see, it’s a busy term. Please keep checking your child’s class blog to see what they’re up to and feel free to leave a comment or two!
